1. Write your “Will do” List – Live your Dreams
We all have things we’d love to do this year – the dream vacation, that pottery course, visiting old friends, joining a choir, regular trips to the gym.
Write your list of the top 10 things you “Will do”in 2011 and plan out when you’re going to do them. Get started on the first ones today.
2. The Joy of Six – Achieve More
First thing every morning, write a list of the six most important things you need to do today.
Get started on number 1 and don’t move on to the next one until you are finished.
3. Learn to breathe – Find some inner peace
Sounds stupid – we all breathe every minute, right?

4. Create your soundtrack – Stay positive and focused
Pyschologists have shown the power of our favourite music to lift our spirits, keep us on the task in hand and bring joy.
Whether you’re on ipod, internet streaming or walkman, make a soundtrack for 2011 and play it regularly.
5. Walk every day – Take care of your body
Try to walk at least a mile every day this year. It gets your blood racing, brings some fresh air and keeps you fit.
I’ve started walking to the tube station in the morning rather than taking the bus – other good times are a lunchtime stroll or an evening constitutional.
6. Give others an A – Get on better with others
It’s way too easy to be prejudged – who hasn’t played spot the idiot. It’s even easier to harbour grudges and feuds.
Try to give everyone (strangers, friends, enemies, family) you encouter an A to start off with and assume the best. You might be surprised at what happens.
7. Watch yourself – Learn what is going on inside
Next time you are with friends and family having fun and feeling great, take a minute to observe yourself .
How do you feel? How is your body language? What does your face look like?
Learning how a positive state of mind feels can really help in a difficult times. Remember those feelings, that body language and try to recreate it. It can shift your mood quickly.
8. Take a risk once a day – Stretch your boundaries
That means you’ll do more than 300 things you maybe didn’t think you could. Daredevil!
9. Trust Yourself – Because you’re worth it
I think one of the greatest things about being a human is that we’re have an intuition – an inner voice that tells us what we should do.
Yours will be pretty amazing and get it right most of the time, so trust it more in 2011.
10. Smile – Nature’s crack
Science shows that even the act of making a rictus grin releases feel good hormones.
Smile more, life is too short to take it so seriously.
11. The World is your Oyster – Go Create
The rest of your life starts now. You have the power, skills, amazing strengths and energy to live the life you want.
