Hadn't quite hit me until I read this that we'll be onto the 2nd decade of the millenium in a few months. And what a decade this last one has been. Great idea to set some goals for the next 10. A friend and I are setting up a list of challenges: '30 before 30', so we've exactly two years (and counting!) to get through quite a few...I anticipate the first two years of the decade at least will be packed full of things taking me out of my comfort zone and pushing my boundaries - amongst them, doing a stand up comedy routine and singing live in front of an audience, as well as more serious goals (write a book, etc.). Still haven't quite compiled the whole list, but at the very least it will be keeping us busy!

Thanks for the inspiration Phil, I'll make sure this next decade is every bit as great as the last.

Phil,

Thanks for such an encouraging message! Come to think of it, the Last decade has truly been great for me, just that I never thought of it that way! I have seen my share of failures and how well I have rebounded to where I stand today. I honestly think we should all pause for a minute and look back at ourselves from time to time rather than complaining about what didnt go right!

Coming to the three questions that you have asked, I have been spendng the last few months thinking about the 1st one alone. Great that you remind me about the other two :)

Keep the mesasges coming Phil. Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback Scott. One of my readers who is a teacher is actually using some Less Ordinary Living content as part of his course. You are right that slowing down to take stock is sometimes the most effective way to move forward.

So, how will you think big what will you commit to over the next decade

Good article and I especially like the time to read thingy! I think this sort of advice should be in the school timetable so that it can spread throughout the population. I myself spend far too much time rushing about and need to stop and take stoke much more often.
